SLO on an April saturday...

San Luis Obispo has to be one of our favorite getaway spots, as well as Pismo Beach where we generally always stop enroute.
I love this little wading pool in the towns central park, but one finds assorted metal sculpures throughout the entire city (or is it just a large town?).

Our lazy day of wandering the tree lined streets, exploring boutiques and art galleries, relaxing over oolong tea and fresh baked ginger cookies at a sidewalk cafe, passed all too quickly, and reluctantly, to the sounds of 70's rock, we made our way home.

California is a queer place - in a way, it has turned its back on the world, and looks into the void Pacific.... It's sort of crazy-sensible. Just the moment: hardly as far ahead as carpe diem. ~D.H. Lawrence
