The Cabin Spring 2010

Ahhhh...we're home! We couldn't recall seeing it THIS green and lush in a long, long, long while. After probably the longest and wettest winter/spring in decades, well, in many years leastways, the lake level had come up quite a bit, after having receded 10 ft or more the past 4 or so years due to drought conditions.

I was thrilled to see Coreys blue flowers were still in bloom, I expected them to be finished for the season with our late arrival this year. But there they were, everywhere I looked, starting to fade but it was like they were waiting for me, holding out as long as they could!

The view from my kitchen window. Upon opening it each morning I welcome in the sweet scent of pine and the gentle mountain breeze.
Every spring is the only spring - a perpetual astonishment. ~Ellis Peters
